It gives me great pleasure to announce that for the fourth year in a row we have been shortlisted in the 'Bridal Accessories' category of the VOWS awards.


VOWS stands for Voted Outstanding Wedding Supplier and is an awards body set up in 2005 to recognise all types of companies within Scotland that offer excellent customer service within the wedding industry.
The awards are voted for by recently wedded couples and in 2011 over 12,000 nominations were received – year on year this number is increasing.
The VOWS Awards has become the pinnacle of the wedding industry calendar, culminating in a prestigious ceremony and dinner in November where over 500 wedding professionals gather to acknowledge high levels of service.


I would like to say a huge thank you to all of our lovely clients who took the time to vote for know who you are :-).
It is an amazing feeling to receive such recognition for what is not only my job but my passion. I am totally committed to what I do and I will continue to design quality accessories and provide the very best customer service experience.
There are some very exciting developments happening here at Corrine Smith Design at the moment, and we are so very excited about what the future holds.

I am extremely proud to display this badge, and to be recognised for providing very good service. The people behind the VERY GOOD SERVICE WEBSITE contacted me a couple of weeks ago to ask me to become listed with them. This is a relatively new website with the aim of finding award-winning companies known for excellent customer service so you don't have to. My lovely customers were invited to leave comments endorsing my service, which you can read HERE. I am really grateful to everyone who took the time to leave a review. It is our great pleasure to introduce to you the unique Wedding Planning and Directory company I spoke to owners Rob & Waseem to find out more about their company and they share some valuable tips on fruitful exposure for your Wedding business.

When and why did you start your business?
Our official Royal Launch is on 29th April, however getting to this day has taken 6 months of careful planning, researching and many sleepless nights!
We started this business to provide both an easier means for couples to find providers for their wedding day and to provide a quality, value for money, means for wedding suppliers to market their business.
What is it you do and what services do you offer?
I could talk about this for hours, but I'll try and keep it short.
We provide what we like to call a "wedding marketing platform" where through combining the power of the Internet, especially social media, such as Twitter and Facebook, with personal recommendations we bring future brides and groom (but mainly brides, as let’s face it the grooms don’t tend to get involved too much in the planning of the special day!) to our user friendly site to then provide them with some informative options of wedding suppliers to make their special day perfect for them.
For Wedding suppliers we offer a fantastic platform to market their business in a variety of ways and at such an affordable price. Wedding Suppliers can have an advert in multiple counties, where they can have their images displayed across the site for free and can also get premium banner adverts for free. Perhaps most importantly we provide a great platform for suppliers to have their satisfied customers leave reviews about the service that they received. These reviews are then easily shared to all their friends throughout Facebook, raising the profile of the Wedding Supplier
What makes you Unique?
Excellent question! Well here at we didn’t want to be an ordinary Online Wedding Directory, we wanted to have flair and stand out from the rest. How have we achieved this? What we have done is completely decluttered the site from side ads, which when we spoke to Brides to Be said sometimes gave them too much choice or confused them!
We have made the site more visually appealing and very simple and friendly to use, but most important we have implemented a unique feature which we can proudly say no one else offers is our “Fair Viewing System”. Simply put our adverts randomise each time the page has been refreshed giving Local Wedding Suppliers a fair chance of being seen.
We also have exclusivity where only 16 suppliers from each category can be featured on the site giving the chance for fair competition and not being lost in a sea of suppliers once again confusing our fabulous Brides to be, as let’s face it choice is great but too much can drive you mad!
Another Unique feature is that we cater to both Traditional and Asian Wedding sectors allowing you to showcase your fabulous business in both areas furthermore increasing your exposure!

What inspired you?
Both our wives have businesses in the wedding sector and we came to recognise that although there are plenty of "directory" style websites out there, there was a lack of sites that provide the full package of user friendliness , with informative adverts with reviews and that were actually value for money.
What's your greatest achievement?
Our greatest achievements have to be finding amazing wives who are so inspirational and also have been so patient with us over the last 6 months
I think we would both say marrying our lovely wives is our greatest achievement!
What's the future of your business?
The goal and focus of the business hasn't changed from day 1, where we set out to be the No.1 wedding site, that thousands of brides visit each month to plan their perfect day.

I was delighted to receive a call from the Evening Times last week asking if I would like to take part in their regular talk shop feature. Of course I said yes!
